As part of our readiness to provide all the information we can to parents, so that they can be proactive in supporting their child through the stages of secondary school life, our recent Year 8 Partnership Evening covered a range of topics pertinent to this cohort’s progression,

There was a central presentation by our Headteacher, followed by rotated drop-ins on relevant topics including Peer Relationships, Studying Science, Home Learning and Mental Health.

Richard Barnett-Richards, Deputy Headteacher, said: “The students who are most successful usually benefit from home and school, being aligned in learning and approach at school. These sessions help reinforce what the children are facing so parents are better informed on what is being dealt with day-to-day, as well as what is more distant on the horizon.”
