Our Year 9 Partnership Evening was well attended as parents were taken through key elements for the year and years ahead.
Year 8 is a pivotal year in school as students select and move towards their formal exam courses and it is important to consider future destinations to best inform the choices that loom ahead.
The evening saw a presentation by the Headteacher and then four optional courses – repeated twice each – which parents could select from:
* Main Presentation
* GCSE History and Geography Advice and Information
* Using AI
* Supporting Your Child in the Community
* Future Pathways
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We are watching our students leave school and enter a very challenging world – costly universities, few apprenticeships and limited high-value jobs – so it is more important than ever to keep ahead of the game and be fully aware of what can be done in the mean time to make those future years easier. We very much run these evenings because we know if parents are attuned with what we do then the outcomes are always more positive so we were thrilled with the good turn-out.”
