We are producing a series of articles to help parents to support their children facing GCSEs this Summer.
There are different GCSE Science (AQA) papers depending on whether your child is doing combined or Triple Science. The papers are also split up in Foundation and Higher.
All students – whether Combined Science or Single Science students will do 6 exam papers – 2 for Biology, 2 for Chemistry and 2 for Physics.
Your child can revise by printing of the following booklets and activities – at home or at school – and filling them in using their exercise book and folder notes and from online websites Iike BBC Bitesize – click here – which has content directly matched to the course your child is doing.
Those students doing the Combined Science course can access online resources here.
Those students doing Triple Science can access GCSE Biology here, GCSE Chemistry here, and GCSE Physics here.
GCSE Foundation Combined Science
The following revision booklets give all the key facts that students need/. Students can use them to make revision cards, there are question cards frame in the booklets, and if there are any unfamiliar terms they can be checkered against the Q&A Fact Lists:
GCSE Combined Science – Foundation – Biology – Paper 1 – Revision Booklet
GCSE Combined Science – Foundation – Biology – Paper 2 – Revision Booklet
GCSE Combined Science – Foundation – Chemistry – Paper 1 – Revision Booklet
GCSE Combined Science – Foundation – Chemistry – Paper 2 – Revision Booklet
GCSE Combined Science – Foundation – Physics – Paper 1 – Revision Booklet
GCSE Combined Science – Foundation – Physics – Paper 2 – Revision Booklet
The Q&A Fact Lists include all of the facts you need for the exam. They are done as a Question & Answer grid but we have also included question lists with the answers taken out so you can test yourself:
Q&A Fact List for Foundation Biology – Paper 1
Q&A Fact List for Foundation Biology – Paper 2
Q&A Fact List for Foundation Chemistry – Paper 1
Q&A Fact List for Foundation Chemistry – Paper 2
Q&A Fact List for Foundation Physics – Paper 1
Q&A Fact List for Foundation Physics – Paper 2
These Foundation Revision Activities may also be used as a basis for answering the questions in the following revision activity booklets – 90% of answers are in the Revision Booklets and around 10% will be in books or online:

Dave Brown, Head of Science, said: “Our students have been give the large majority of these resources and have been working over them in class for the last few weeks. The content is very much covered and now it is just making sure it sticks and ironing out any confusion. These revision booklets give the key facts and by remembering key words and completing the activities then all of our students can do very well.”
