Community Events
Our school is hugely proactive in our local community and very much places itself and our students’ experiences within our locale.
We stage a series of calendared events which are open to the community:
Year 7 Dedication Service
This free event is staged annually in the Autumn Term at Lichfield Cathedral and sees families and the wider school community attend a service to celebrate our Year 7s transition into secondary school.
Christmas Carol Concert
This annual service is also staged at Lichfield Cathedral and is a free carol service that families and the wide school community can attend. It is often supported by local dignitaries including the Mayor(ess) of Lichfield and local politicians
The Summer Sizzler
This annual Summer Term outdoor music festival is staged on the school grounds in July and sees bands, stalls and other activities operating to raise funds for our PTFA and for local charities. It is a ticketed – with family and student discounts – and is popular with families and primary children looking to move up to us in the following September.
Other Events
Elsewhere we participate in a wide range a series of events with community partners that see our students performing, supporting or contributing to a range of event whether they be festivals, fund-raisers, work placements or other activities.
Our students are very much from the local community and we encourage them to seize every opportunity they can to give back to those around them who help them grow.
