Destinations
The Department for Education also closely monitors the destinations of Year 11 students as they set the ambition of there being no NEETs (Not in Employment, Education or Training) after the students have left school.
Our destinations are reported annually on the DfE Performance Tables and in recent years we have achieved outstanding exam results.
This expectation applies to tracking students after they complete their main school studies in Year 11 and again after they complete their Sixth Form studies in Year 13.
Year 11 Destinations from Summer 2022
Measurement | School | National |
In Education / Employment | 97% | 94% |
Year 13 Destinations from Summer 2022
Measurement | School | National |
In Education / Employment | 82% | 79% |
It is important to note that national figures are affected by the fact that the tracking of post-16 students is much more straight-forward due to funding streams than at post-18. Equally, options like gap years and voluntary work are not collected and hence reduce the post-18 figures for all schools.
Clearly, we have had more cohorts go through in the Summer 2023 entry and as soon as their Destinations are confirmed and verified we will update the figures. Early indications suggest our school will again be above national averages in both measurements.
