Johnson House claimed this year’s House Cup, bringing our annual house competition to a thrilling conclusion on Rewards Day.

As the overall winners, Johnson students enjoyed a morning packed with inflatable games and obstacle courses. The session featured a range of activities including competitions, foam fun, water slides and much more.

Continuing a long-standing Friary tradition, the afternoon was reserved for the students with the highest House Point totals from the runner-up houses. This year, those houses were Darwin, Garrick and Seward.

To ensure everyone could enjoy the day safely in the warm weather, staff made several sensible adjustments. Plenty of drinking water was available, gazebos provided additional shade, and the nearby treeline offered cool spaces for students to step out of the sun when needed.

Mark Drury, Headteacher, said: “It was lovely to see that we are still working with the same family-run business that delivered our very first Rewards Day back in July 2018. They put on a fantastic, fun-filled experience and our students know they can look forward to a great day. Students buy into this incentive every year and, importantly, everyone has the opportunity to earn a place.”
