Excitement is building at The Friary School as preparations continue for the highly anticipated Summer Sizzler 2026, taking place next Thursday.
This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with an incredible line-up of talented Friary students taking to the stage to perform a diverse range of music spanning the decades. Following an exceptional number of auditions and an outstanding standard of performances, we have extended the programme to accommodate even more acts.
The Summer Sizzler will now run from 5.45pm until 8.00pm, with gates opening at 5.30pm.
With warm weather forecast, visitors are encouraged to bring sun hats, parasols and other sun shades to stay comfortable while enjoying an evening of entertainment.
Alongside the live music, there will be plenty for families to enjoy. The PTFA will be providing a BBQ and bar, while a bouncy castle and a variety of fundraising stalls will help create a true summer festival atmosphere.
The school has already received interest from several parents wishing to run stalls and is still welcoming enquiries from anyone who would like to get involved. Those interested should contact lhearn@friaryschool.co.uk for further information.

With fantastic live performances, great food, family entertainment and a wonderful atmosphere, the Summer Sizzler 2026 is shaping up to be a memorable evening for students, families and staff alike.
