The Friary School made a huge splash at this year’s annual inter‑school Swimming Gala, held at Cheslyn Hay Leisure Centre. Competing against six other schools, pupils from Years 7–10 delivered a morning of determination, teamwork, and exceptional effort – earning The Friary an impressive 3rd‑place overall finish.

From the opening races to the final relays, our swimmers showed grit and pride, supporting one another from the poolside and giving everything in the water. Many pupils were competing in their first gala, yet they rose to the challenge with confidence and maturity.

A number of pupils went above and beyond, with a special mention to Felix G who offered to help out in the year group above his age, as they had a swimmer absent.
