Miss Wright, Johnson’s Head of House, nominated Dougie H (Year 7) for trying hard “every single day.” Miss Wright gave credit to Dougie’s “positive and friendly” attitude, which is evident in how Dougie puts himself forward for extra-curricular roles, ensuring he makes “the most out of school.”
Alfie J (Year 7) was nominated from Seward House by Mr Sleigh, who described Alfie as a “role model.” Alfie’s Head of House also praised his “continued, consistent high effort” and “positive attitude.” Mr Sleigh commented that Alfie is a perfect example to the upcoming Year 6 students.
Further along in his school career is Year 9 student Yuvraj. Darwin’s Head of House, Mr Britton, nominated Yuvraj S for being an “exceptional” student whilst displaying “kindness and humility” towards other students.
Miss Golder nominated Ella C (Year 9) as her Star of the Week. Ella’s award is for being “a true role model,” with her high levels of effort being commended and recognised by Garrick’s Head of House.
Mark Drury, Headteacher, said: “After missing a couple of weeks due to INSET and Year 11 exams, it was good to get back to recognising House Stars of the Week. I know 3 of this week’s nominees are involved in the forthcoming production of Matilda, are all are clearly making the most of their time in school, both in and out of the classroom.”
