Evie G (Year 7) was nominated from Seward House. Evie helped to settle a new student into the school last week. Mr Sleigh, Seward’s Head of House, recognised her as “a great buddy” and that “anyone would be lucky to have her help.” Evie’s “hard work, positive attitude and high effort doesn’t go unnoticed” in Seward House.

Miss Wright, Johnson’s Head of House, nominated Luke B (Year 9) as a “role model to others.” Luke has accrued over 1300 Achievement Points due to giving “100% to everything,” whether this is in the classroom, helping with House activities or taking part in extra-curricular events.

Mr Britton, Darwin’s Head of House, nominated Lucy O’C (Year 8). Lucy has accrued nearly 1600 Achievement Points, an absolutely incredible effort. Lucy is a key member of the school hockey team and also supports the performing arts department in school.

Miss Golder, Garrick’s Head of House, nominated Angelina M (Year 10) as Star of the Week. Angelina’s award is for “continued excellence in school, superb effort across all subjects and excellent participation in lessons.”

It’s a busy time of year in schools and due to staff involvement in public exams, there’s been a slight delay in recognising last week’s winners.

A special mention must go to Maisie B, who was nominated 3 weeks ago and described as a “very talented musician.” We are now very proud to hear that Maisie has made the final of Staffordshire Young Musician of the Year, to be held in July.
