During this week’s Focus Week, students have been learning about Sir David Attenborough – a true British hero – coinciding with his 100th birthday on Friday 8th May.

As part of their activities, KS3 students took part in the final Independent Learning Quiz of the year. Teams from each House were selected and had two weeks to learn as much as they could about David Attenborough, in preparation for the quiz. Teams answered 10 questions, plus a tiebreaker, to determine the winners. Here are the results:

1st Place: 9S2 with 8 points – Amy M, Ellie D and Georgia B
Joint 2nd Place: 8G1 with 7 points – Freddy S, Rosie-Eve W-F and Aaron B

Their preparation and prior learning clearly paid off on the day.”
