Amy M (Year 9) was nominated from Seward House. Her “consistent high effort, maturity and attitude to school” make her “a credit to Seward House.”  Mr Sleigh, Seward’s Head of House, also recognised the hard work Amy does in form and how helpful this is to Mrs Jones.

Miss Wright, Johnson’s Head of House, nominated Georgia G (Year 11) for her “positive attitude” and noted how this benefits those around her. Georgia’s contribution to school life and “commitment to her studies” were also recognised.

Miss Golder, Garrick’s Head of House, nominated Natalie W (Year 8) for her “continued excellence.” Natalie is a key member of the school hockey team and also plays to a high standard outside of school. Miss Golder said Natalie is “always willing to get involved in extra-curricular activity” and is a “role model pupil,” which is high praise indeed.

Luke P (Year 10) was nominated for making “a real difference to the school community” through his “positivity,” “commitment” and determination to “always give [his] best.” Luke has not allowed a recent arm injury to dampen his spirit or enthusiasm. Mr Britton, Darwin’s Head of House, said Luke was “a really valued member of Darwin House.”

Mr Drury said: “It was lovely to meet students from four different year groups, including one just 10 days away from the first of her ‘final’ exams. Whether a student is near the start or the end of their Friary journey, attitude is always key and the Heads of House clearly recognised students with commitment and enthusiasm this week.”
