There were twice as many nominations to acknowledge this week, with Mr Drury being involved in assemblies last week.

Louis M (Year 9) was nominated from Darwin for always going “above and beyond” in his studies and being “a role model for other students.” Mr Britton, Darwin’s Head of House, also nominated Danielle P (Year 10) for her “dedication and positivity” which makes a “real difference” every day in school. Danielle won multiple accolades in Darwin’s last House Celebration Assembly.

Miss Wright, Johnson’s Head of House, nominated Felix G (Year 7) for earning over 1,300 Achievement Points in school. He is already “one of the top achievers in the House.” Miss Wright added that, despite being the youngest nominee, Felix is already a “role model” who is “polite, enthusiastic and works hard.” Esme M (Year 9) was also nominated from Johnson. Esme is someone who “gives everything 100%” and works hard not only in school but also on the hockey field “for club and country.”

Josh H (Year 9) was nominated from Seward for a similar reason. His “outstanding efforts” in school are matched by those the hockey field, where Josh has earned selection onto the England Talent pathway.

Mr Sleigh, Seward’s Head of House, also nominated Maisie B (Year 10) for her “exceptional attitude and commitment to Friary life.” Maisie is a hard-working student and a very talented musician, who was recently on the school stage as part of Encore.

Miss Golder, Garrick’s Head of House, nominated Katie L (Year 8) for her “dedication to Garrick House Week.” Running her own stall, Katie raised an amazing £150 for Lichfield Foodbank, an incredible achievement. Leo A (Year 9) was also nominated from Garrick for playing a key part in the organisation of Garrick House Week. Miss Golder said she “couldn’t have done it without him,” which is high praise indeed.

Mr Drury said: “After skipping a week due to whole-school assemblies, it was great to get back to recognising those students who commit themselves to excellence in school, and often outside of it too.”
