This week’s nominees for Hot Chocolate with the Head were Isaac and Marko in Year 8, with Sophie and Caleb from Year 9.
Isaac was nominated for representing the school at hockey last week, and presenting in his form assembly. His Head of House, Ms Wright, said: “Is there anything Isaac can’t do?”
Sophie was recognised as the achievement point leader for the whole school – a phenomenal achievement. Sophie’s Head of House, Mr Britton, said: “Sophie is a fantastic student and role model for others.”
Marko’s Head of House, Mr Sleigh, praised his “hard work,” and “consistent high effort,” describing Marko as an “all-round great student.” His work towards the Year 8 Character Award was specifically mentioned.
Caleb was also recognised by Miss Golder, Head of Garrick, as a model student with a commitment to extra-curricular activities. Caleb, as a very talented musician, is a member of the school band and will be performing at our Encore performance later in the month.
Headteacher, Mr Drury, said: “It was lovely to meet the students this morning, each thoroughly deserving of their Head of House’s nomination. It’s an exciting time for our Year 9 students, with their Pathways assembly and evening next week, and our Year 8s are clearly no less involved in school life and events.”
