Johnson House held an incredible House Week before half-term, bringing the whole school community together through a series of fun and meaningful fundraising events in support of St Giles Hospice, their chosen charity. Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and generosity, we raised a fantastic £3,311.45 in total – a school record.

Throughout the week we had multiple activities running for pupils to get involved in, including a sponsored litter-pick that helped improve our local environment, a lively sponsored run, delicious cake sales, a Valentines post-box and a popular tombola.

A standout moment of the week was our Friary-themed twist on The Traitors, where students took part in a light-hearted, fictional game of “banishing” and “murdering” teachers. It brought plenty of laughter, suspense and friendly competition. The week was finished off fantastically with the competition Final where, in the theatre and in front of over 200 students, it was revealed whether The Traitors had indeed succeeded.

The week showcased creativity, community spirit and a shared determination to make a difference. Well done to everyone involved for making Johnson House Charity Week such a memorable success.

Miss Wright, Head of House, said: “A huge thank you goes to all our pupils and parents for their incredible effort – from giving generous donations, and raising sponsorship, to running stalls with enthusiasm and teamwork. Your commitment made every event shine and has helped us support St Giles in a really meaningful way.”
