This week saw the second of our three KS3 House Independent Learning competitions take place. Students had to research Greta Thunberg as part of our World Heroines Focus Week. Teams from each House then went head-to-head to show their knowledge in the competition by answering 10 questions and a tiebreaker. All teams scored highly and the competition was fierce.

1st Place: 9G1 with 9 points – Ella Chambers, Elizabeth Flint and Theo Alkiviadou

Joint 2nd Place: 7G2 with 8 points – Merryn Kendrick, Charlie Strachan and Beatrice Windeler
Joint 3rd Place: 7J1 with 7 points – Lola Bugg, Autumn Essex and Laila Knapman
Joint 3rd Place: 8J1 with 7 points – Bethan Fish, Isabelle Day and Megan Breese
Joint 3rd Place: 8D1 with 7 points – Lucy O’Connell, Oscar Foy and Tabitha Riley
8D2 with 6 points – Ava Clark, Willow Harrison and Evelyn Hall
7S1 with 6 points – Ezra Birchall, Leah Shaw and Finn Maguire-Turner
Assistant Headteacher, Sam Sullivan, said, “Every team participated with enthusiasm, and it was clear the students had undertaken some useful independent learning in advance of the competition. Heads of House were also there to cheer on their teams. Well done to everyone for their efforts.”
