Mr Allman’s final day at school was a swathe of goodbyes and farewells as we all head into the Christmas Holidays.

The ‘formal’ goodbye from staff saw a comedy sketch about him by Mr Rivers and Mr Perry played out before all staff – who had all donned ‘Allman’ face-masks – and this was followed by thanks from Mr Allman to his colleagues for the brilliant job they do with our students.

Mr Allman joined the school in September 2016 so is into his 10th year at the school. The school has changed hugely in that time and generations of students have left with amazing exam results, fantastic experiences, and well set to make the most of post-school life.

Mr Allman will be taking up the role of Chief Education Officer in the school’s academy trust – The Primitas Learning Partnership – so will still retain an involvement with the school.

The new Headteacher, Mark Drury, will take up the role on Monday 5 January as the Spring Term begins.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “I have loved working at the school and will only take away good memories. The school team has been so good to me – and my own children who have attended it – and I owe a great debt to all the colleagues, students, parents and community members who have backed up what we do and helped make our school so very, very successful. Mr Drury, the new Headteacher, is a former colleague I admire, and a genuine and caring person, so I am sure the school will only improve further”.
