After much training, preparation and excitement, our Year 9 Girls Netball Team took to the court to play their first competitive games of the season.
King Edwards are stiff opposition – with a great tradition in netball and some very talented players – but our Friary girls still managed to come out on top with a 9-6 victory.
King Edwards awarded their ‘Opposition Player of the Match’ Award to Sophie Antcliffe.
Trudy Simkiss, team coach, said: “All girls played with honed skills and it was a pleasure to watch them play together as a team, with individual outstanding play as well. Well done girls, a fantastic win and well deserved.”
