Our U13 girls took to the pitch against Lichfield Cathedral in what was their very first match together following a series of training sessions. Despite being new as a team, they showed incredible spirit, skill, and determination throughout the game and something the opposition umpires commended them for.

Lexi Hines (Y8) and April Davies (Y7) stole the show with goals galore. Lexi fought hard against the opposition, beating several players before slotting the ball home for the win, while April was on fire with her runs into the D and great finishing.
Natalie Walker (Y8) and Jasmine Fayle (Y8) also got on the scoresheet, adding to the team’s tally.

Summer Roberts deserves praise for her teamwork and clever assists, while Tabitha Riley impressed with her outstanding passing that kept the attack flowing.

One of the standout performances came from Izzy Bailey (Y7), who showed real grit against older opposition. She refused to be pushed off the ball and made some excellent defensive pushes out of the D to deny Lichfield Cathedral any scoring chances.

At the back, Emily Eaves, Joanna Jones-Gallardo, and Violet Holland stayed strong and disciplined, following Head Coach Fallows’ instructions to move the ball wide to the wingers and clear danger effectively.

It was fantastic to see newcomers Ava Clark, Katie Leonard, and Lyra Thompson making their debuts, settling into the team with confidence. Special praise must go to the Year 7s, who battled bravely against older players and showcased their growing skills. Well done Beatrice Windeler.

Lucy O’Connell once again demonstrated her determination, making strong runs with the ball and linking up beautifully with the strikers to set up scoring opportunities.

Kim Fallows, team coach, said: “This was a fantastic tournament performance from the U13 girls. They showed teamwork, resilience, and plenty of flair in their first outing together. With such promising talent across the squad, the future looks bright. Roll on the next match against King Edwards!”
