Tom Purkis, a former Friary student, has produced a fantastic documentary video in association with Lichfield Arts – entitled ‘The Small City with a Loud Heart’ – which celebrates youth music in out city of Lichfield.
There are numerous Friary students in it – past and present – and it gives a real sesne of the energy and enthusiasm that keeps youth music in our community alive and kicking.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Every time we see our Friary students play in school or in our community we are all so thrilled and this documentary catches the essence of that. It has a very 1990s / NME vibe about it and will appeal to both students and parents. It is great to see Tom’s talents have not diminished one bit since he left our Sixth Form.”
