Our school staged our first fire drill of the year as a part of our scheduled practices which ensure our children and staff are ready should a ‘real’ evacuation be necessary.
Our students have set routes to follow and set locations to get to so the dummy-runs are critical, especially for the Year 7 children who are new to our school.
Richard Barnett-Richards, Deputy Headteacher, said: “The fire drill went well and we were pleased with how the students responded to the evacuation system. This is just part of the Health & Safety measures we run through the year and we are pleased this one illustrated we are on track with requirements and keeping our students safe.”
