Our Year 11 Saturday School programme sees students come into school between 9.00-11.00am on Saturdays to undertake focused revision work and put in the necessary extra miles to secure those great exam results our school keeps achieving with our students and families.

The sessions are optional – unless we direct a child or two to come – and we regularly see 100 students in school working away.

The students do not need to wear school uniform and just have to sign in at the front of school.

This year the Saturday Schools will be mapped around key events in the school / students’ calendar on the following dates:

Preparation for the Year 11 Mocks 1

The first set of Year 11 Mocks take place directly after the October 2025 half-term break and these are supported by three Saturday Schools:

27 September 2025 – English

18 October 2025 – Science

8 November 2025 – Maths

Preparation for BTEC Enterprise Final Exam

The final exam for Enterprise takes place just after Christmas 2025 and so we have a Saturday School to support revision:

6 December 2025 – Enterprise

Preparation for the Year 11 Mocks 2

The second set of Year 11 Mocks take place directly after the February 2026 half-term break and these are supported by two Saturday Schools:

7 February 2026 – Science

28 February 2026 – Maths

Preparation for BTEC Enterprise Final Exam

The final exam for French Speaking takes place at this time and this session primarily focuses on final preparation for this:

25 April 2026 – French

Preparation for the Final Year 11 Exams

The formal exams run between 11 May – 19 June 2026 and these are supported by two Saturday Schools:

9 May 2026 – English

6 June 2026 – Maths

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “You very much get out of life what you put in and the Saturday Schools give students the chance to commit to, revise and check the key knowledge and skills they need for their all-important formal exams. These sessions very much reflect staffing body that goes the extra mile for our students, and if they come with us then they have every chance of success.”
