Our school very much encourages students to apply for apprenticeships as it can often be a much better route to take than the traditional university route, what with funding, loans, etc.
Consequently, we make sure our students and parents have lots of opportunities to interact with employers and apprenticeship provides so that the door is very much open for applications. This comes in the form of Partnership Evenings, parent events, workshops, employability sessions, as well as lessons and assemblies.
Indeed, this emphasis is one of the reasons why The Careers & Enterprise Company independently score our careers and aspirations programme to be exemplary.
There are several other still in the pipeline line but our students already have some wonderful apprenticeship programmes already secured:
* Abigail Pinches – Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship with Moseley Solicitors, Lichfield.
* Luca Lombardi – Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Surveying.
* Sam Wilson – Level 7 Apprenticeship in Auditing with Connor Parry.
* Ben Fairchild – Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship with JCB
* Logan Ho – Level 3 Apprenticeship in Accountancy with Boss Partnership Fiance.
Helen Barratt, Assistant Headteacher and Careers Leader, said: “These excellent apprenticeships are very competitive so we are delighted that our students have performed so well to earn placement on these programmes. The apprenticeship route is an exciting one, hugely viable with our extensive support, financially less onerous, and provides workplace opportunities which set participants up for a prosperous and worthwhile professional career.”
