The summer holidays have just begun but as a school we are already gearing up for the next school year and we wanted to share the Year 11 Saturday Schools plotted out now.

Our Saturday Schools are voluntary – though we may direct one or two children if they are below where we expect – and they make a huge difference for those who attend.

Children need not wear their uniform, they usually run either 9.30-11.30am or 10.00-12.00pm – details always circulated in advance.

We currently have the following dates – generally tied around mock and real exams – and there may be one or two more added as we move forward.

The dates for your calendar are:

Saturday 4 October 2025 – GCSE English
Saturday 18 October 2025 – GCSE Science
Saturday 8 November – GCSE Maths
Saturday 6 December – BTEC Enterprise
Saturday 7 February – GCSE Science
Saturday 28 February – GCSE Maths
Saturday 25 April – GCSE French
Saturday 9 May – GCSE English
Saturday 6 June – GCSE Maths

Sophie Grigg, Assistant Headteacher, said: “We are fortunate to have an amazing staff team who are ready to go the extra mile for their students – and if the students go that extra mile with us on the Saturdays then they will be only be more prepared for their final exams. Exam results rely on talent, but more they rely on hard work and putting in the time here will reap the rewards.”
