Amongst our busy end of term we found time to reward those students who had the best attendance, or who had made real efforts to improve their attendance rates after a period of absence.
We always look for new and exciting ways to reward our students so this time we brought in the circus to offer a range of activities that were fun, developed new skills and brough a break from the norm of the school day.
The activities included juggling, balancing, acrobatics and more besides.
Richard Barnett-Richards, Deputy Headteacher, said: “In recent years we have had dodgems, archery, crazy golf and clay pigeon shotting for attendance rewards, so the circus seemed the next step. The students thoroughly enjoyed the activities and the circus team kindly stopped late to take in the Summer Sizzler as well. Attendance is perhaps the key driver for exam success so if we can incentivise this through the year then this is only a good thing.”
