Our partnership with local health teams will see our Year 8s have their HPV vaccinations in the last week of term.
The HPV vaccine helps protest against human papillomavirus (HPV) and is recommended for children aged between 12-13 years of age.
The HPV vaccine reduces the chances of getting HPV, a common virus that is spread through skin contact (usually when having sex). Most types of HPV are harmless but some types are linked to an increased risk of certain types of cancer.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We recommend all families consider vaccinating their child and play our part as a school to facilitate the treatment being made available.”
