Following the fund-raising work of Seward House we received a letter of thanks from Midland Air Ambulance.
Seward House sent off a cheque for £2,709.67 – an incredible amount which was largely led by House student leaders.
The Midland Air Ambulance team have to raise between £13-14 million annually in order to provide highly-skilled doctors and critical care paramedics through their offer.
Emma Gray, Chief Operating Officer at Midland Air Ambulance, said: “Without you (and donations like this), we would not be able to carry out more than 4,000 vitally important missions by air ambulance helicopter or critical care car each year. Thank you for your support, it means a great deal to us and the patients we treat daily.”
Matt Allman, Headteacher, added: “The Seward House team – students, staff and families – have done a stunning job for an incredibly worthy cause who have partnered with the school for several years now. As a school we always seek to support charities on our doorstep, teaching our students to make a difference to the people they live beside. It looks like this year our school will raise into five-figures for local charities – just amazing.”
