Year 7 netballers took part in their first Netball Tournament playing against seven schools in Cannock and District.
All every excited to have more game time, the girls came up against tough competition in their first game, against Kingsmead, which was a close battle and sadly ended in a loss 4-2.
However, this was soon forgotten as the girls played brilliantly to win the next 3 games against Chase Terrace, Cannock Chase and EDA. These results helped keep spirits high and motivated the girls to continue to work hard in the rest of the games.
The final games ended with a mixed bag, of a loss, draw and a win; all very close as we continued to score goals to keep us in the game.
Hollie Wright, team coach, said: “The final standings saw the girls with the bronze medal, finishing 3rd out the 8 schools which was a massive achievement and a credit to how hard the girls have been working to improve their skills. We have one more game left after half-term to look forward too, before the rounders season begins.”
