Our annul Encore variety show took on the themes of money, wealth and business as a wide rage of acts proofed a stellar range of scenes from different plays and performances,.

The entire production involved over 120 students – so 10% of the school – and included performances from from ‘Cabaret’, ‘9 to 5’, Monty Python, ‘The Greatest Showman’ and ‘Les Misérables’

The event included the final performances by Year 13 stalwarts of Camron Thain and Maiya Ogden – including a fantastic ‘Hole in My Bucket’ – and Emily Rice with her amazing ‘Pirate Jenny’ from ‘The Threepenny Opera’.

The second sell-out event was our annual Sheriff of Lichfield Show which raises funds for their – and the Mayor of Lichfield – chosen annual charities. Both the Sheriff of Lichfield, Cathy Wood, and the Mayor of Lichfield, Sam Schafer, were in attendance once again and our Sheriff sent us a great ‘thank you’ letter afterwards which can be seen here.

Elsewhere, our PTFA provided a bar pre- and interval drinks / treats, raising vital funds for our school.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “Our students and Performing Arts team always put on a fantastic ‘Encore’ show and it is wonderful to run the event in conjunction with Lichfield City Council. The funds go to local worthy causes and our students enjoy performing before the positive and encouraging civic team, as well as friends and family.”
