Our annual variety show Encore is created by the Music and Performing Arts Department, and it showcases the fantastic and talented students we have in this school across all year groups.

This year the theme is ‘Fiscal’ and there is a wide variety of performances featuring Harold Pinter, Monty Python, Christina Rossetti, Pulp, Edward Lear and Bob Fosse (to name a few!).

The show nights are Wednesday 9th April and Thursday 10th April and tickets can be purchased at: https://yourboxoffice.co.uk/the-friary-school/1242-encore-fiscal

The second evening is also known as the Sheriff’s Show and the Sherriff of Lichfield, as well as other civic dignitaries, will be  in attendance to support the event and to fund-=raise for their annual charities.

Richard Hughes, Head of Performing Arts, said: “There are a wide variety of performances so there is never a dull moment and with all ages taking part this is very much a show that provides the impetus, development and encouragement for our students to further develop their performing skills and to blossom into senior roles in school and in community performances as well. The students hugely value an audience so we would encourage everyone to come along.”
