As part of the raising aspirations programme, a selection of Year 12 students visited a local careers event at the Guildhall in Lichfield to support their post-18 options.

Students visited an abundance of information exhibits from universities, employers and local apprenticeship providers to help them with the decisions they are facing with their higher education options.

Students spoke to Keele University, Exeter University, Aston University, University of Staffordshire, NHS, Handselbanken, Balfour Beatty, SP Jain London School of Business Management, BMET College, Barclays to name just a few.

Students fully interacted with the event and were questioning the providers about their courses of interest, study options, course requirements and the application process.

Faye Bullock, Careers Mentor, said: “The careers fair is an impressive local event in partnership with Lichfield Cathedral School and was well-organised, informative and is growing in size each year.”
