Tensions were high for the final KS3 Independent Learning Quiz of the year, and all Houses put forward their best teams to test their knowledge for World Book Day.

Students showed excellent knowledge of teenage fiction, and worked as a team to ensure their answers were correct (or at least a best guess). Students were quizzed on a range of topics including specific questions about World Book Day, as well as questions about well-known literary texts.

In the end, the team from Darwin House were the clear winners, outperforming all other teams to score the highest number of points.

Well done to the team from 8D1: Sophie Antcliffe, Louis Martin and Roman Lamey! Head of House, Mr Britton, clearly has a few trophies in his sights this year!

The team from 9J2 came second, only missing the winning spot by one point. Well done to Eva Parry, Savannah Shawcross and Natalia Litke.

Helena Cresswell, School Librarian, said: “The students have been terrific in their participation and enthusiasm. All Houses were well represented and can be proud of their teams.”
