Our Year 7 Netball team faced Chase Terrace in their first league match.
We lost the toss and lined up on court ready to play but it didn’t take long to regain possession of the ball and passed it well around court and multiple perfectly timed passes into our shooters to take an early lead going into half time, 9-1 up.
Chase Terrace made a comeback and made getting near the post more difficult, but the girls persisted and continued to score.
The game ended with Friary taking the win 13-3.
Hollie Wright, team coach, said: “Player of the match was awarded by the opposition to Sienna Hyland, who played brilliantly in a number of positions on court. A shout out also needs to go to Jess Mannox but made numerous excellently timed feeds into the D to allow us to have the many shooting opportunities. Several of the team have been coming to practise for months so it lovely to see them putting their skills into action. Our next game is just after Christmas so look for the team sheet, first week back.”
