Year 7 students had an unforgettable visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester.

Their adventure began with the interactive planetarium, where they learned about our solar system’s neighbours. The excitement continued with a thrilling talk on rocket science, featuring explosive demonstrations that captivated everyone.

The students explored numerous hands-on exhibitions, driving a Mars Rover, experiencing life inside the International Space Station, standing next to an actual space rocket, and even seeing a piece of the moon up close.

Dave Brown, Head of Science, said: “It was a pleasure to see the students’ school-based learning enhanced by the facilities and exhibitions at the Space Centre, Likewise, it was great talking to students about their scientific interests and aspirations in this setting.”
