Our Year 10 and 8 Netball teams came up against Cannock Chase High School in our latest league matches.
Year 10 started well, dominating possession, and passing the ball well around the court, going into half time on top. Cannock Chase’s half-time team talk clearly made a difference to their play and they took back possession of the ball and made up the difference rather quickly. It came down to a close finish, but we ended up a goal short which did not reflect the effort and play of the first half.
Next our Year 8s took to the court and from the off played the ball beautifully around, into our shooters, who then ruthlessly converted the goals. We continued to rotate positions giving all the girls time on court and gaining valuable experience. The girls rode out 10-1 winners.
Hollie Wright, team coach, said: “Lots to continue to work on in training for both teams, but we are so proud of the ball play around court which showed how the hard work in training is paying off.”
