Our Focus Week on World Kindness Day included tutor time activities and assemblies to remind students what this day is for and why it is important,.

The key part of the week was student-led assemblies on the themes and each of the Houses had a special assembly – led by a tutor group – exploring the theme.

8S1 and their tutor produced an excellent assembly which included an excellent poem and a handy list of how to easily be kind to those around us.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “In many ways it is a shame we have to have a Word Kindness Day to remind us to be kind – the world would be a better place if that was the default. Equally, in our busy lives, it is easy to take things forgranted, to charge from tasks to task, and a chance to reflect and think about really important is always a positive step to take.”
