The fantastic support of Lichfield Sport Karate Club has helped propel Friary students to global success at the recent WKU World Championships staged in Greece.
The final standings saw:
* Ellie Lancaster (Y13) – Gold (and hence World Champion) in +65kg 15-17 Kumite / Bronze in Teens Team Kata
* Leigha Lancaster (Y11) – Silver in 15-17 Traditional Weapons / Bronze in 15-17 Freestyle Weapons / Bronze in Teens Team Kata / Bronze in 65kg 15-17 Kumite
* Louis O’Hagan (Y9) – Silver in +65kgs 13-14 Kumite / Bronze in 13-14 Traditional Weapons
