As part of our raising aspirations programme today we were joined by Redrow, a leading and sustainable large housebuilding business who push the boundaries making it a key focus to build houses responsibly within our community.

They talked to our Year 12 Sixth Form students about the local development at Curborough Lakes along with apprenticeship opportunities that are available. They gave insight into the varying careers options on offer under their business umbrella within the housebuilding and construction industry including; commercial, design, IT, finance, planning and development, engineering, quantity surveying, customer service and construction roles. Redrow offer development programmes for young people including apprenticeships and traineeship programmes where their roles are supported with ongoing training and professional development.

Faye Bullock, Careers & Aspirations Mentor, said: “We hope to take students lower down the school for a site tour in the near future to show them first hand some of the interesting career opportunities that may be available to them.”
