As part of our gathering old photographs and records of our school we have compiled a short view which flashes up cohorts from the late 1970s and 1980s.
The whole-school photographs have become a thing of the past in more recent times – not least because of the greater numbers schools have to take make them logistically far more difficult – but they are a record of the past which reflect the changing times of our school.
The images can be seen here.
Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “We would love to get our hands on more old photographs like these so that we can compile a growing central record for our community. Sadly, they are often the sort of items which sit up in a loft or forgotten in a cupboard and then get thrown away with the passing of time, so if they suddenly appear do let us know. It is great fun to pick through the group photos to see who you can spot and there is no doubt there will be Friary parents and grandparents in these images.”
