Garrick House kicked off this year’s House Weeks with the fund-raising extravaganza for Lichfield Foodbanks – taking in both cash and food donations to take down to a very worthy cause that helps both Friary families as well as the wider community.

There were a wide range of student-led activities including a Cake Sale , a Jewellery Sale, a Guess the Name of the Squished Marshmallows, a sweet shop, a treasure hunt, a Power-Punch Machine Competition, a movie evening and more besides.

Many students took part, and the various Garrick tams did a wonderful job at drawing in the crowds and the funds with their many stalls and activities.

Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher, said: “All of our Houses support local charities as we want to help those on our school’s doorstep and when we combine great fun with a worthy cause then that is the best of both words at our school. The imagination and enthusiasm of our students was fantastic we are looking forward to working out the final total as we look to see if Seward House can be defeated in the annual House Funding-Raising Cup.”
