We have taken a cohort of Y11 students through their pre-GCSE Entry Level Maths qualification wit Edexcel as a bridging step to succeeding in their GCSE Maths at the end of Year 11.
This is a formally recognised qualification that covers much of the GCSE content and acts as an excellent route on securing the more straight-forward Maths before then tackling the more tricky work.
The students have been rewarded with certificates and more importantly pizzas!
Sam Sullivan, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The cohort have done wonderfully well and proved that they have all the Maths skills to succeed at GCSE. We are looking forward to seeing them get better and better through their Mocks and into their final exams.”
