As a school, we very much encourage students to apply for apprenticeships as it can often be a much better route to take than the traditional university route, what with funding, loans, etc.
Consequently, we make sure our students and parents have lots of opportunities to interact with employers and apprenticeship provides so that the door is very much open for applications.
Indeed, this emphasis is one of the reasons why The Careers & Enterprise Company independently score our careers and aspirations programme to be exemplary.
There are several other still in the pipeline line but our students already have some wonderful apprenticeship programmes already secured:
* Abigail Jelfs – Level 7 Auditor Apprenticeship Training with Cooper Parry.
* Freya Mackman – Level 3 Early Years Apprentice on the Springfields Day Nursery programme.
* Harry Mallender – Level 3 Technical Agriculture Apprenticeship.
* Erika Montford – Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship with Alrewas Dental Practice.
* Lewis Sones – Level 3 Apprenticeship on Machinery at Spline Gauges.
* Lily Sperryn – Level 3 Apprenticeship with Poppins Day Nursery.
* Minhaz Uddin – Level 6 Apprenticeship with Airbus in Aerospace Engineering in association with the University of the West of England.
Helen Barratt, Assistant Headteacher and Careers Leader, said: “These top-quality apprenticeships are highly competitive so we are thrilled that our students have performed so well to take up the programmes. The apprenticeship route is hugely viable, financially far less onerous, and provides workplace opportunities which set participants up for a prosperous and worthwhile professional career.”
