The Character Award is a yearly project for our Year 8 students where they work in line with the 6 FRIARY Ethics. These are key values that are important to us as a school and are what we want our students to display throughout their time with us: Friendship, Responsibility, Independence, Aspiration, Resilience and You.
As part of this accreditation, students plan and produce a piece of evidence for each ethic during PSHE tutorial sessions, showing their tutors, Heads of House and other teachers how they display these ethics in and out of school.
We would like to congratulate the students who completed the Character Award and they have received their certificates in House Achievement Assemblies on the last week of term.

Jamie Sleigh, Co-Ordinator of the Y8 Character Award, said “The amount of hard work that students put into the Character Award is fantastic to see. Tutors and other staff know how great our students are but we find out lots of other amazing activities our students get up to inside and outside of school.”
