Jamie Sleigh, Head of Seward House said:

“Just like that, another school year has come and gone… but another successful one of that for Seward House. This year has been full of positives, in the classroom, out of the classroom and in house competitions. Year 7 Seward students settled in well, meeting new friends, staff and their way around their new timetable faster than I can remember others doing this. This summer assembly was a time to look back on the year they’ve had, the rewards they’ve been part of and to reflect on the year as a whole and start to set targets for the next academic year.”

“When analysing the year Seward have had as a House, I wondered this time last year if we could top last year… winning many trophies, competitions and students impressing in and out of lessons. Our students have absolutely smashed the start of year targets. Finishing as Most House Points, Best Behaved House, Debate Winners, Current Affairs Quiz Winners, House Charity Week Winners (most money raised) and Highest Attendance Percentage.”

“Seward have had a very successful year, this is down to their hard work and drive towards house competitions, willingness to learn in lessons and striving to improve in everything they do. I’m proud to lead this group of students and wish them, and their families and enjoyable summer. I look forward to welcoming them, and the new Year 7 Seward students back in September.”
