As part of our National Vegetarian Week celebrations earlier in the school year students and staff collated a favourite vegetarian recipe book to share the dishes and flavours that they enjoyed.
The project tied into wider themes of sustainability, climate change, personal incomes and health eating.
The cook book can be viewed here.
The optimism were wide-ranging and included the Head Boy’s (Minhaz Uddin’s) Baked Mac & Cheese to Head Girl’s (Holly Cutland’s) Vegetable Curry, Ms Brough’s Picnic Pie to Mr Vandenheuvel’s Baked Aubergine Stuffed with Roast Pumpkin, Feta & Walnut with Minted Courgettes, and Mrs Grigg’s Butter Beans with Garlic, Lemon and Herbs to Louis Martin’s Sweet Potato & Peanut Curry.
Aliso Cartwright, Head of DT & Art, said: “We always look to open our students’ eyes to new experiences and opportunities and this project provided a lot of fun but had a serious messages behind it. We hope families can enjoy the recipes in the weeks and months ahead of us.”
