On Thursday 11 July, we will be opening our school gates for our annual Summer concert on the field.

The Summer Sizzler is the perfect end of year celebration for students and their families. Bring your picnic rugs and deck chairs, and join us for an evening of live music provided by our very own students. The standard is always high, and if we’re lucky, we may even get a few hits from the staff band!

During the evening, our PTFA bar will be open selling a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as crisps and sweets. The PTFA ‘Burger Boys’ will also be there selling a range of items off the BBQ to keep you all going through the night. In addition to this we will have a range of fundraising stalls such as tombolas, facepainting and cake stalls. For younger children there will be a bouncy castle and for the older ones, a rodeo bull!

Early bird tickets are available to students only from the main office and cost £3 each in cash. These will be available until Friday 5th July. All other tickets cost £5 each or there is an option to buy a family of 4 ticket for £15. Tickets are available on Parent Pay in advance or by cash on the gate. Wristbands will be issued on arrival.

Gates open at 6.00pm on the night and the music will begin at 6.30pm finishing at approximately 8.30pm.

All proceeds from the event go towards putting this event on for our students as well as supporting other additional projects in school. It is organised by our Music Department and Friary PTFA and is a much-loved end of year event with a festival vibe.

Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher, said: ” The Summer Sizzler” really is a highlight in our end of year celebrations. We love providing this opportunity for families to come together and join us for a relaxed and informal evening that showcases the wonderful talent we have in school – we cannot wait to see everyone there”
