Nineteen students from Year 10-13 are taking part in a projected designed to showcase their writing and acting skills with a series of free workshops in association with Lichfield Festival.

Katie Arnstein – a former Friary student – and now a multi-award winning writer / performer (Sticky Doot, the Long Run and Wolverine Women for BBC Three) is leading the sessions.

The workshops give students the opportunity to write and develop their own monologue/duologue, which they will get to perform at The Hub at St Mary’s on 8 July 2024 as part of the 2024 Lichfield Festival.

Richard Hughes, Head of Performing Arts, said: “This is a tremendous opportunity which we were thrilled to get on board with. The initial session was challenging but hugely rewarding and we are delighted to be able to play our part in supporting the fantastic Lichfield Festival.”
