Friary students contributed to a superb performance of ‘Les Misérables’ by Lichfield Musical Youth Theatre.

Amidst a fantastic review by TheatreBean included praise for Friary students including:

“Emily Rice’s portrayal of Cosette was a highlight of the production, showcasing a ‘heart full of love’ and innocence. The actor’s clarity, diction, and well-trained voice brought depth to the character, elevating her beyond mere romantic interest. Cosette is a role that often gets lost within the show, however Rice brought something new that challenged this expectation and left a memorable impact. With effortless grace, she brought a nuanced portrayal to the role, adding layers of complexity that resonated with the audience.”

“Gavroche (Zachary Duguay) , Little Cosette (Eliza Bullock); and Little Eponine (Isabella Hamilton) had an infectious enthusiasm throughout the performance. Despite their young age, they delivered performances that rivalled their older counterparts, shining brightly in every scene they graced. As rising stars, they brought a sense of innocence and charm, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of watching them perform.”

“Overall, LMYT showcased undeniable talent, leaving the audience in awe. I would like to award them a well deserved 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”.
