Year 12 A-Level Geographers went on a 3 -day residential trip to Blackpool in readiness for their final exams and to see how their classroom learning applied to case studies out in the field.

Students reviewed a range of geographical aspects including flood defences, landscapes, regeneration and travel and tourism.

There was also a chance to take in the sights and sounds of Blackpool – towers, arcades, beaches and more besides.

Richard Barnett-Richards, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The trip is a core element of the A-Level course and students hugely enjoyed the visit. There was a mixture of geographical study and traditional seaside fun – the memories will be all-important for the final exams, but also be taken away as these students head into their final stretch of time with us.”
