Our PTFA are running another Bag2School collection – with donations welcome at school reception until Thursday 11 April.
Bag2School collect unwanted clothing and many other items that include clothes, paired footwear, bags, hats, ties, scarves, bras, jewellery, socks, belts, cuddly toys, household linen, curtains, towels and bedding. These items are then re-cycled and the PTFA is given a sum related to how much has been collected.
Our PTFA has raised around £20,000 per year in recent times and this has paid for a range of items that otherwise students would not benefit from; including new computers, canteen facilities, minibuses, stage equipment, reading books, and much more besides.
Equally, the PTFA add to our school community by supporting school events, bringing parents together, and generally being a force for good in our school.
Lottie Hearn, Deputy Headteacher, said: “The Bag2School scheme supports the economy both here and abroad, supports re-cycling and raises funds for the education of children in our school. We would encourage all families to use part of the Easter Break to have sort out and to donate any items listed above that could add to this fund-raising. Our PTFA makes a difference for every child in this school and those who cannot contribute at events can support us and their child by donating to this project.”
